Hallo Zusammen,

zuallerst habe ich mir ein NSA 220 Plus gekauft und bin damit echt zufrieden.

Nun habe ich mich mit dem Thema SSH on NSA 220 Plus befasst.
Meine aktuelle Firmware ist 3.23.
Nun da ein Forum auch von Fragen lebt kommt auch prompt meine Frage :
In den Vorgehensweisen auf http://www.zyxeltech.de/ffp05.htm wird ja beschrieben wie man den SSh Server installiert .... soweit so gut.
Bin ich der richtigen Annahme, dass dann das File nsa220_check_file in nsa220_check_file.323 umgenannt werden soll.Bei meinem ersten Versuch hat es nicht funktioniert. Nun habe ich etwas Respekt das ich eventuell mein NSA 220 beim erneuten Versuch nicht mehr nutzen kann. Toll wäre wenn es in der nächsten Firmware der SSH Server integriert ist.

Ich hoffe ich habe in die richtige Forengruppe gepostet.

No. You should rename nsa220_check_file.230 to nsa220_check_file.
What did you do, exactly?

In this thread a demo packet containing an SSH server is announced. Don't know if it works, and don't know how you should logon. (The 2.10 firmware (the only one I ever had) only had 2 users with shell access, admin and NsaRescueAngel. admin is disabled in later firmwares, and the password of NsaRescueAngel is unknown to the user.)

in dem ZIP Packet ffp_for_NSA-220.2 ist die Datei schon in diesem Format nsa220_check_file. Somit brauche ich diese ja nicht mehr ändern. Trotzdem brauch das NSA 220 plus sehr sehr lange beim erneuten booten. Und ich warte und warte aber keine login Maske gibt es . Und per telnet weder nocht per ssh ist das NSA erreichbar.


Kann eigentlich was bei dem bespielen des NSA mit dem SSH Server kaputt gehen?

The default nsa220_check_file is for firmware 2.20 and below. The file nsa220_check_file.230 is for fw 2.30 and up, but has to be renamed. When you look in the files, you'll see differences.

No. The NAS isn't even touched by the SSH server, everything stays on the USB-stick. But of course it is possible to kill the NAS *using* the SSH server.

Edit: ffp_for_NSA-220.2? That should be ffp_for_NSA-220.3
