Hello, my name is Ron from Die Niederlande and I am the owner of a 220- plus during a few weeks. I like the device very much, but I have some questions about functioning. Don't know how things exactly work and would like to ask a few questions here in the forum. Don't know if I can write in English, 'sonst probiere ich es auf Deutsch'...
Question:
I enabled the recycle-bin function and set it on 3 days, but now I see in the log that the system clears the appropriate files EXACTLY after these 3 days. Most of the time my device is in hibernating situation (power is on and disks sleeping), so I assume the disks will spin up when the system is clearing files in recycle-bin.
This is not very efficient for saving energy and money, because this way the device will spin up almost every hour, while otherwise it would keep sleeping. Am I wrong by suggesting this or does it not work this way?
In case I am right, Zyxel should program the device that when there is a delete-action and the disk is spinned-down, the action would be delayed until the system is ready (awake) due to an other event, like normal access from a user.. Any other ideas about this?
